Amelia Phillips, of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and 2005 RCC graduate, won the POYi Award Of Excellence for her photograph of "THE SOLDIER'S WIFE". Her image was part of a year-long photostory she did of a wife who's husband had been deployed to Iraq.

The Photography Program at Randolph Community College is pleased to announce the sixth presentation in the Jerry Howell Lecture Series. Julia Dean lectured on Friday night March 2nd and 3rd, in the Photographic Technology Imaging Center on the Asheboro Campus of RCC.
Friday night Julia showed her work and the work by the photographers working with her on a collaborative project about child laborers around the world.

2005 BioCommunications graduate Amelia Phillips won an honorable mention in the Local Portraits and Personality category during the National Press Photographers' Association Best of Photojournalism competition this week. Phillips' winning image was taken while she was an intern at the Kane County Chronicle in Illinois last year.
